I’m beyond excited to announce that Moonshine & Blood is officially published and available for purchase! This book has been a labor of love, blending my passion for history with the grit and drama of Prohibition-era Missouri. As much as I love fantasy, diving into historical fiction has been an incredible journey, and this story was such a rewarding challenge to bring to life.
About Moonshine & Blood
Set in the Ozark Highlands of 1923, Moonshine & Blood follows WWI veteran Jesse Walker as he returns home to find his family's farm threatened—not just by the banks but by something much more sinister. As bootlegging operations take over the hills, Jesse realizes corruption runs deep, and trust is scarce. Alongside his fierce sister Mary, a shell-shocked fellow veteran, and an eccentric old moonshiner, Jesse takes a stand, but in a world where justice is paid for in blood, every choice comes at a cost.
This book is a mix of historical thriller and crime drama, filled with loyalty, betrayal, and the true cost of survival. Writing it allowed me to explore a time period I’ve always been fascinated with, and I poured a lot of research (and some creative liberties) into making it feel authentic.
The Writing Process
From the first idea to the final draft, Moonshine & Blood wouldn’t have been possible without my incredible beta readers. Their feedback helped shape the book into something even better than I originally imagined. It was a long process, but now that it’s finally out in the world, I couldn’t be prouder.
Where to Get It
You can grab your copy of Moonshine & Blood right now on Amazon, with the paperback version also available. It will be coming to Barnes & Noble on February 28th (don’t ask—just trust the publishing process, or lack thereof, haha).
A Small Favor
If you check it out and enjoy the book, I would be incredibly grateful if you left a review on GoodReads and Amazon. Reviews go a long way in helping indie authors like myself reach more readers, and your support means the world.
Now, onto the next book! More updates on that soon…
Thanks for being part of this journey with me!
